Karing: what it is and how to set up a VPN with it in 2026

Karing is a free client for VPN subscriptions on Windows, macOS, Android and iPhone. What it does, where to get it, how to add a subscription, and why it doesn't give you a VPN by itself.

Quick fix. Karing needs a subscription link. Get one from Surok in Telegram: 3 days free. Or use our app with everything preconfigured: download.

Karing is a cross-platform client built on sing-box with no servers of its own. It runs on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iPhone and Apple TV and imports VLESS, VMess, Trojan, Shadowsocks links, sing-box and Clash configs. Get it from karing.app, its GitHub releases, or the App Store (another country's Apple ID may be needed) — never from random channels.

Add a subscription: copy the link, tap "+" → Add profile → paste, wait for the server list, pick a server, connect.

Good to know: being sing-box based, Karing may not support Xray-only profiles such as XHTTP over CDN; VLESS Reality usually works. Set rules so local sites go direct, and use TUN mode on a computer.
