Privacy policy

We collect the minimum data needed for the Service to work and keep no log of your online activity.

1. What data we store

• Account data: email address or Telegram ID and username, password hash, registration date.
• Subscription data: plan, validity period and payment history.
• Device data: the app's technical identifier, OS type and version, device model, IP address and the time of the last subscription refresh. This is needed for the plan's device limit and is shown to you in your account.
• Technical data: total traffic for the period and the time of last activity, to show statistics and protect the servers from abuse.

2. What we do not do

• We don't record which sites you visit, the contents of your traffic or DNS queries.
• We don't sell or share your data with third parties for advertising.
• We don't ask for ID documents or a phone number.

3. Who receives the data

Data is processed on the Service's servers at hosting providers we have contracts with. Payment data is handled by payment services under their own rules; we do not store card numbers. Data may be disclosed only on a lawful request from the authorities of the country where the relevant server is located.

We use Yandex Metrica (Yandex LLC) for website traffic statistics. It receives anonymised data about visits to surokvpn.com: pages opened on the site, referral source, device and browser type, approximate location by IP address, and actions on the site's pages (clicks, scrolling). This data is processed under Yandex's rules and helps us understand which pages are useful and improve the site. Metrica runs only on the website — not in the apps, the extensions or VPN traffic. We never pass your traffic, browsing history or subscription contents to Metrica.

4. Cookies

The site uses a technical cookie to sign you in to your account and browser local storage for interface settings such as the theme. The site also runs a Yandex Metrica counter, which sets its own cookies to count visits (see section 3). There are no advertising trackers or ads on the site.

By continuing to use the site you agree to these cookies. You can disable them in your browser settings or with a blocker; signing in will keep working as long as the site's technical cookie is allowed.

5. Browser extensions

The Surok VPN extension for Chrome, Yandex Browser and Firefox routes browser traffic through our proxy servers. On your computer, in browser storage, it keeps only the account sign-in token, the chosen country and your site rules. Your email address and password are sent to our server at sign-in, then a session token for account requests. The extension doesn't read page contents, doesn't collect browsing history and sends no statistics. Your IP address is visible to the proxy server only to establish the connection and is not kept in browsing logs.

The “Surok · Accelerator for YouTube” extension routes only YouTube traffic through our proxy servers; all other sites open directly. When the “No ads” switch is on, a script removes ads on YouTube pages; it runs only in your browser and sends nothing to our servers. The extension stores a sign-in token, a random installation ID and switch states in the browser. Viewing history and page content are not collected.

6. Retention and deletion

Account data is kept while the account exists. Device data is deleted when a device is unlinked. You can request deletion of your account and all data via support; deletion is completed within 7 days.

7. Your rights

You can get a copy of your data, correct it or delete your account by writing to support.

8. Changes
